All Year 10 “Intro to Physics” students must submit their Student Designed experiment by Monday the 19th June by 9:00am.

Motion Topic Test
A 60 minute written test to assess the Motion topic. Students are permitted to have a single sided A4 summary sheet. The test will be based upon the content covered in class, the website notes and the numerous links supplied upon the website.
Unit 2, Area of Study #1 – How can motion be described and explained? (Section 1)
Format: Topic Test (10 minutes reading & 60 minutes writing)
Permitted materials: Single sided A4 Summary Sheet (x1), Scientific Calculator, pens, pencils etc.
Jacaranda Reference Chapters: Chapters 10 “Analysing Movement”.

- Option 2 – How can AC electricity charge a DC device?
Both tests have been allocated a 70 minute period, 5 minutes of which has been allocated for reading. Students are required to sit 1 test only.
Students are permitted:
- A single sided A4 summary
- A scientific calculator
Year 11 Physics Unit 2 Area of Study 2 (SAC) – Written Test
- Option 1 – How can human vision be enhanced?
- Option 2 – How can AC electricity charge a DC device?

Year 10 Physics Motion Test
Students are permitted a single sided A4 summary sheet, a scientific calculator and the traditional pens, rulers, pencils and rubber.
The test has been constructed to examine all concepts covered during Term 4 study, including:
- distance & displacement
- average speed & average velocity
- acceleration
- Motion graphs: Position – Time
- Motion graphs: Velocity – Time
- Ticker timers ad ticker timer tapes
- Equations of constant acceleration
Practical Investigation

Students need to have completed the Electricity Revision Homework Sheet prior to this lesson.
During this lesson the structure of the Electricity section of the exam will be discussed. The homework sheet will be corrected and solutions provided. Students will have the opportunity to ask questions relating to the Electricity topic.
