The 2 hour holiday study session focusses upon the VCE Physics Unit 4 detailed study – The Australian Synchrotron.
The session is planned to be of a 2 hour duration. However, if students wish to further discuss aspects of the course, they are more than welcome to stay for longer.
Students will complete a multi-choice topic test during a single period. The test will be designed to reflect the multiple choice section of the VCAA exam. The test will be set upon the Synchrotron and its applications area of study and take during the week commencing the 14th of September.

The grades from this test do not contribute towards student coursework scores or indeed their study score. The test is being completed to evaluate each students comprehension and mastery of the content covered in chapters 1 & 2. The result will assist in the formation of feedback for the first round of reporting.
SAC.2 is a topic test upon the Unit 3 Area of Study 2 – Electronics & Photonics. The duration of the SAC is 1 period (70 minute) reading time included. Students are permitted a single sided A4 summary sheet which may be had written, typed, scanned or commercially generated. A scientific calculator is permitted. However “memory based calculators” such as the TI-Nspire are not permitted.
Year 12 Further Maths – SAC#3 Matrices (Topic Test)
Friday the 12th August.
Period 3 in Room 11.
Students are permitted to bring their bound summary book.
The test will consist of 2 sections: Section 1 – Multiple choice & Section 2 – Short Answer.
Year 12 Physics Class 1 – Unit SAC #1 Power Generation (Practical Summary Report)
Period 2 in Room 7.
Students are permitted to bring a bound or stapled hard copy logbook.
