Year 10 Motion Physics Test

- A single sided A4 summary sheet
- Pens, pencils, ruler & eraser
The test will cover all of the Motion Topic from Notes 10.2.1 to Notes 10.2.6
Year 10 Electricity Topic Test
- Wednesday the 20th of March, 2018
- Room 6
- Period 3
- Written test – multiple choice & short answer
- 50 minutes duration
- single sided A4 summary sheet is allowed
This test will assess the content covered in the Electricity topic. It will cover content up to and including Ohm’s Law. Effectively Notes 10.1.1 to Notes 10.1.6 inclusive.

- single sided A4 summary sheet is allowed
This test will assess the content covered in the Motion topic. It will cover content covered in Notes 10.2.1 to Notes 10.2.6 inclusive. Topics include:
- Distance and displacement
- Position-Time graphs
- Velocity-Time graphs
- Unit conversions from m/s to km/h and vice versa
- Average speed and average velocity
- Average acceleration
- Basic ticker timer calculations
- Equations of constant acceleration
- Energy forms
- Energy conversions
The Year 10 Science – Physics Exam is scheduled for Tuesday the 25th June in the Kildare Hall commencing at 8:50am and finishing at 10:30am. Details as follows:

- A4 summary sheet (double sided) – hand written/typed/photocopied

- Calculation of effective resistance
- Resistance colour coding; determining the resistance of an unknown resistance
- Ohm’s Law; graph analysis and equation calculation
- Electrical power; P=VI & E=Pt, calculation of the cost of power consumption
