Year 11 Physics Class 1 – Motion Test # 2
Thurs 15th Sept. Period 4 – 70 minutes duration
Content to be covered includes: inclined planes, Newton’s 3 laws of motion, double body systems (ie. ship & tug boat joined by cable), conservation of moment, impulse, work, Energy: gravitational potential, kinetic, elastic strain potential.
Students are permitted a single sided A4 summary sheet.
Mr Judd will be absent attending the Science Teachers Association of Victoria’s (STAV) Physics Conference for 2017.
Year 12 Physics excursion to Luna Park.
Riding the attractions at Melbourne’s Luna Park! To accompany “Motion in one and two dimensions” for Unit 3 of the VCE Physics Study Design, Melbourne students are invited to test the shifting g-forces on their favourite rides! Its hands-on study and loads of fun!
Year 11 Physics Excursion to the 2017 F1 Grand Prix
Students have the chance to immerse themselves in the world of Formula One, and get captivated by the innovative technology that governs the sport by attending the 2017 Formula 1® Rolex Australian Grand Prix for FREE*.
This assessment task will be in the format of a written test consisting of short answer and multiple choice questions. Students will be provided with 10 minutes reading time and 60 minute writing time.
Students will be permitted a scientific calculator and a single sided A4 summary sheet. The summary sheet may be hand written, computer generated, photocopied or commercially produced.
The test will be testing your knowledge and understanding of the electrical theory covered in Chapters 4 & 5 of the Jacaranda Physics text.
This research assessment task is due by 3:20pm on Monday the 8th of May. It can be emailed to myself via the college’s email.
Mark deductions will occur in the vent of late submission. Please ensure that your work is original and can be authenticated.
