Students are encouraged to complete all the set class work, plus the supplied practice test
Year 12 Physics SAC – Data Analysis
- Tuesday the 12th of June
- Area of Study 2 “How are fields used to move electrical energy?”
- 5 minutes reading & 50 minutes writing
- Written test format
Students are permitted to bring a single sided A4 summary sheet, a scientific calculator, and the typical pens, pencils, erasers etc.
- Depart: Kildare Campus @7:30am
- Arrive: The Australian Synchrotron @ 9:30am

- Arrive: Kildare Campus @5:00pm
Students are to wear full winter uniform. Food is available at the venue’s cafeteria, or students may choose to bring their own lunch.
SAC 4 – Unit 4 Physics – How can waves explain the behaviour of light?
This assessment will be in the form of a written test.
5 minutes reading time & 50 minutes writing time will be allocated.

Year 10 Physics – Electricity Topic Test
- Thursday the 6th August
- Period 2 (10:10am – 11:08am)
- Room 6, Kildare Campus, Lavalla Catholic Colleg
Students are allowed to bring a single sided A4 summary sheet, as well as a scientific calculator. Students will be provided with a resistor colour chart and a list of SI prefixes.

Students are permitted to bring a single sided A4 summary sheet and a VCAA approved scientific calculator.
Year 12 Physics SAC #6 – Practical Investigation
The Practical Investigation involves:
- The research and planning of a practical investigation
- The carrying out of a practical investigation
- The recording of all information in a practical logbook
- The production of a scientific poster
Both the practical logbook and the finished poster must be submitted to Mr Judd by no later than 1:31pm on Friday the 21st of September (the last day of term 3).
Year 10 Motion Physics Test

- Pens, pencils, ruler & eraser
The test will cover all of the Motion Topic from Notes 10.2.1 to Notes 10.2.6
Year 10 Electricity Topic Test
- Wednesday the 20th of March, 2018
- Room 6
- Period 3
- Written test – multiple choice & short answer
- 50 minutes duration
- single sided A4 summary sheet is allowed
This test will assess the content covered in the Electricity topic. It will cover content up to and including Ohm’s Law. Effectively Notes 10.1.1 to Notes 10.1.6 inclusive.
SAC#1 (Class 1) – An annotated folio of practical activities
- Thursday 21st March, 2019
- Period 2
- Room 6
- 50 minutes duration
- Written analysis of a collection of 3 practical investigations
- A student practical logbook is permitted
This assessment task requires each student to bring their logbook and to answer specific questions related to the three investigations undertaken in class. Students will be required to submit their logbook upon completing the task.
